Meditation in its simplest form stimulates your parasympathetic nervous system (aka relaxation response) which brings your nervous system into a state of balance.
So why is it so tricky, especially for those of us who struggle to turn off the chatter in our minds?
The undisciplined mind focuses on what it doesn’t want;
bad habits, phobias and fears, as well what we perceive to be lacking thus drawing into our lives more of the same.
Meditation helps to identify the distraction of negative thoughts that keep us from realizing our dreams. Simple awareness to the breath, guided meditation, or a mantra can gently bring you back to mindful awareness. With practice, you will become aware of the negative thinking patterns you normally wouldn’t recognize and replace these thoughts with cultivating a focus on what you do want in your life…the realization of your dreams.
